Bill Kilpack of West Jordan was an original member of the Sundance Wrestling Club, arguably the finest freestyle/Greco-Roman wrestling team in Utah history, producing the first two world champions from Utah, and dozens of other international and national honors. As a competitor, he garnered an AAU national championship, seven national silver medals, seven more national medals, and made the Pan-Am team in Greco-Roman wrestling, although he did not get to compete. In addition, he was named All-American 15 times by AAU, the US Wrestling Federation or USA Wrestling in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling; was a seven-time Zone/Western Regional champion; and a six-time state champion in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. He also spent many years helping coach Sundance teammates.
He has coached the Utah All-Star Team four years to dual against the Ohio All-Stars national team (2006, 2007, 2012, 2013). He previously served on the Board of Directors for USA Wrestling-Utah for seven years and has served as the Director of AAU Wrestling Utah since 2008. He co-founded the Intermountain Champion Series to recognize excellence in wrestling in the Intermountain states. He is Utah Editor for Wrestling USA Magazine and IntermatWrestle.com, Editor of UtahWrestling.org, and the Utah Representative for Real Pro Wrestling. Formerly Utah Editor for American Adrenaline Magazine (now defunct). He started coaching wrestling in 1999 and is currently head coach of Mountain Top Wrestling Club and Victory Wrestling Club.
In addition to his successes in coaching wrestling, he has also coached other community sports such as a championship football team, baseball, boys gymnastics and both indoor and outdoor soccer.
